Hwacheon Delegation Visits Sheffield to Mark Partnership and Milestone Anniversary

Sheffield, UK — Ward Hi-Tech welcomed senior representatives from global machine tool manufacturer Hwacheon to its Sheffield headquarters last week, reinforcing a long-standing partnership between the two companies and celebrating a major corporate milestone.

The visiting delegation included Christoph Smets, Managing Director of Hwacheon Europe; Dominik Kaiser, Head of Sales at Hwacheon Europe; Norbert Seo, Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President of Hwacheon Machine Tool Co.; and Mr. Jang of Hwacheon Machine Tool Co. Their visit provided an opportunity for both organisations to exchange insights, review ongoing collaboration, and explore future developments.

A highlight of the visit was the presentation of a hand-scraped titanium commemorative plaque to Ward Hi-Tech’s Managing Director, Alan Hill, in recognition of the company’s 40th anniversary. The gesture symbolised the strength and longevity of the partnership between the two firms.

During their stay, the group also toured Lonestar, where they viewed the latest installations, including five Hwacheon HT230 turning centres now fully operational. The visit showcased advanced machining capabilities and underlined continued investment in high-performance manufacturing technology.

Both companies described the meetings as productive and forward-looking, emphasising shared goals around innovation, collaboration, and sustained growth. Further joint initiatives are expected as the partnership continues to develop.
